Mature Jack Russel: keeping us up at night
Subject description: Slept all night for 9 years, whats wrong with that dog?
With rare exception this 9 year old male Jack Russell has slept all night for his whole life. For the last week or so he starts whining and barking around 3-4 am as if he needs to go out. We take him out and he wets a little but not like it is urgent, and he is done. But he comes back in and whines and barks.
The only other clue I have is that he seems to be drinking more water lately.
We have always left water out all night.
This morning I put him in the basement after taking him out at 3. This is not his normal sleeping place. He normally roams between the childrens rooms at night. Putting him in the basement was not the right move either as he made even more and louder noises.
