What is this product used for
Frontline Plus provides convenient and effective flea and tick control in dogs and cats, puppies and kittens. It is effective against all stages of the brown dog tick, the American dog tick, lone star tick and deer ticks (the major carrier of Lyme disease). It also kills flea eggs and flea larvae.

Availability
Frontline Plus is a non-prescription (OTC) product.

How this product should be used
Use Frontline Plus for Dogs on dogs and puppies 8 weeks or older. Use Frontline Plus for Cats on cats and kittens 8 weeks or older. Place the applicator tip through the animal’s hair to the skin level between the shoulder blades. Apply the entire contents of the applicator in a single spot to the animal’s skin. Use only one applicator per treatment. This product is packaged for use on cats and kittens and it is also packaged for use on dogs and puppies 11 to 22 lbs, dogs 23-44 lbs, dogs 45-88 lbs and dogs 89-132 lbs. Do not reapply for 30 days.

What are the side effects
Pets may experience some temporary irritation at the site of product application. If signs persist or become more severe within a few days of application, consult a veterinarian immediately.

What special precautions are there
This product is for external use on dogs and puppies, cats and kittens 8 weeks or older. Consult a veterinarian before using on medicated animals, animals using this product with other pesticides, and debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals. This product is flammable. Keep away from heat and open flame. This product is harmful to humans if swallowed. Call a physician or poison control center for advice. Have patient sip water do not induce vomiting unless advised to and patient is conscious. This product can cause eye injury. Flush eyes with plenty of water. Call a physician if irritation persists. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling.

In the event of overdose
Contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency room.

How should I store this product
Store this product at room temperature. Store in the original container only. To dispose wrap original container in several layers of newspaper and discard in trash. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

	(4 out of 5 stars) Top Honors  04/18/06 - by Sue Pollen RN,BSc,MA,DVM,CVA Frontline Plus is a godsend to many pets. It kills fleas and ticks and can be used safely around cats. Frontline Plus is applied to spots along the top of the pet where it cannot be licked off. I prefer to apply it both above and below the collar, then in small amounts down the back so thatno drips run down the skin. Frontline Plus is absorbed into skin oils and is stored in the oil glands within the hair follicles. It is waterproof to the extent that while the skin oils can be removed with shampoo, the oil glands sit within hair follicles. Frontline Plus stored within oil glands is not removed with normal washing or swimming. Pets with unhealthy skin dont get full benefit from Frontline Plus, so I recommend supplementing all pets that use flea medications with Be Well. Be Well contains 1000 mg Omega 3 fatty acids per serving and nourishes the skin, heart, kidneys, lungs, liver, and brain. Frontline Plus has advantages over Frontline Top Spot because Frontline Plus has methoprene, which prevents flea eggs from developing into fleas. Methoprene ensures that any fleas able to survive Frontline because they have developed resistance to it cannot have offspring. To further prevent flea resistance, alternate topical flea medications, using Frontline Plus for a few months, then Advantage or Advantix for a few months.

I tried it and now I am a believer. I am amazed on how this little tube can work wonders. My boxer doesn't have to suffer with scratches or rashes. With Inova food and Frontline Plus, my Diesel looks like a movie star.

He scratched all the time. I was planning on getting him a flea dip, and then having the dipper apply the Frontline. I was able to skip the dip - Frontline made the fleas and his scratching disappear right away. He is so spoiled and happy now.

The fleas always came back within 2 weeks, even when I used foggers in the house. Then a friend told me to use Frontline. It worked immediately and I didn't even have to fog the house again. Don't use Advantage, it doesn't work!

One of my cats came in the other day with eight dead ticks on his coat. I have also recommended this product to all pet owners I know. Everyone who uses Frontline has also been very pleased. My Family and i have been using Frontline For awhile now and i cant complain i asked my vet about Advatage and she said that works good for fleas but not so much ticks and other pest's but i'm sticking with frontline. If it Keeps Max(my Pup)happy I'm Happy :) I Also have been using frontline on my cats and once again NO PROBLEMS there! I'm a happy customer :)

It just wasn't working like I had read in the reviews. Well, I had a friend advise me on capstar. An oral med that rids your pet of fleas with in 24 hours! Boy does it work, but only short term. So i use my frontline along with it and it works like a dream!

I have used Frontline for almost 6 yrs. on 3 dogs. I did change to Frontline Plus when it came out, just because it was supposed to be even better. Of course, how can you better a !00% effective product anyway. I have NEVER had a flee OR tick problem,and we also camp quite a bit.

Sometimes they were very bad and sometimes not, but we always had them. I've been using Frontline on my dog and cats for a little over a month now and I'm thrilled! The scratching has finally stopped. I'll use this stuff forever.
