What is this product used for

Bio Spot Spot On Flea and Tick Control for Dogs contains IGR to kill flea eggs preventing eggs from developing into adult fleas. Each applicator kills and repels fleas, ticks and mosquitoes for up to 30 days.

Availability

Bio Spot Spot On Flea and Tick Control for Dogs is a non-prescription (OTC) product available in boxes containing a 6 month supply for; puppies, toys and miniatures under 15 lbs, small dogs 16-30 lbs, medium dogs 31-60 lbs and large dogs over 60 lbs.

How this product should be used

Read the entire label before using. Use only on dogs and puppies 6 months of age or older. For dogs up to 60 lbs apply 1/2 of the tube contents between the shoulder blades and the remaining 1/2 at the base of the tail. For dogs over 60 lbs, apply 2/3 of the tube contents between the shoulder blades and the remaining 1/3 at the base of the tail. Do not reapply product for 30 days.

What are the side effects

Do not use on cats. This product may be toxic and potentially fatal if applied to or ingested by cats. This product can be harmful to humans if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Reactions to this product in dogs may include skin sensitivity. If sensitivity occurs, bathe dog with a mild, non-insecticide shampoo and contact veterinarian. Other symptoms may include drowsiness, itching or redness, rash, hair discoloration or hair loss at application site.

What special precautions are there

This product is for external use on adult dogs over 6 months of age only. Do not use on cats or animals other than dogs. Consult a veterinarian before using on debilitated, aged, medicated, pregnant or nursing animals. This product is combustible. Do not use or store near heat or open flame.

In the event of overdose

Contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency room. For humans if on the skin or clothing remove contaminated clothing and wash with plenty of soap and water. Call a physician if irritation persists.

How should I store this product

Store this product in a cool, dry place. To dispose, wrap container in several layers of newspaper and discard in the trash. This product is extremely toxic to fish. Do not add directly to water. Do not contaminate water when disposing of this product. Keep this product out of the reach of children and pets.
